The BXSCC is run by an Executive Committee, elected by the committee’s Regular Members to two-year terms, and by subcommittee chairs appointed by the Executive Committee.

Chair: Presides over committee and Executive Committee meetings, leads the annual plan and accomplishment report, signs agreements on the committee’s behalf, represents the BXSCC on the BSC Board of Directors, and serves as chief liaison to governments and partner organizations.

Vice Chair: Acts for the Chair when the Chair is absent, assumes the office if it becomes vacant until an election is held, and takes on tasks assigned by the Chair or the Executive Committee.

Secretary: Manages meetings and minutes, maintains the membership roster, attendance records, and mailing lists, processes new member applications, and prepares the committee’s annual report to BSC.

Treasurer: Keeps the committee’s accounts and reports on them at each meeting, drafts the annual budget, manages deposits and payments through BSC, and serves as liaison to the BSC Treasurer.

Member at Large: Fills any vacant Executive Committee position other than Chair until an election is held, and takes on responsibilities assigned by the Chair, such as BSC board representation, member recruitment, or the corporate membership program.

Subcommittee Chairs: Each promotes relationships between Baltimore and Xiamen in one area, manages delegations in that area, pursues related grants, and plans the subcommittee’s events for the year.
